Hi just had offer accepted on targa 47 with the d9 575 engines with essex boat yards, a bit nervous and excited all at the same time,
Can anyone give advice If there any thing that I should be aware of or anything I should look out for in the survey and the future?
Many thanks
Nathan

Ps essex to date have been very good and very prompt, unlike other brokers you feel that they want to sell you a boat!

seriously good boat -I was very tempted but swmbo wanted a flybridge and 3 bedrooms, check the sliding roof runs nice and smooth, check for evidence of water damage under the garage floor. I've got D9s and so far, touch wood (apart from a recent fuel pipe episode) very impressed. check the colour of the gearbox oil - it should be clear not with bits in or black. As for the rest get it surveyed.

Hi Nathan

I went looking at some Targa 47s the other week with a bloke in Poole but he prefered his Rinker !!!!!

Fingers crossed this time.

Doods

I'm pretty sure that this will go through, better boat, better deal and cheeper, so the other one was not ment to be :-)
I will look up jim Pritchard, thanks for the heads up,

We have one (2010 with D9 575). Excellent boat. We have had ours 3 seasons and no real issues - Essex have been brilliant in dealing with the minor ones we had.

We have used Jim Pritchard and he was excellent.

Enjoy your new boat!!

Well can't get better than that, I'll sleep, with ease after those comments, good boat, good broker, seems like good recommendation for surveyor!
