Thanks Mike, though we have now decided to go for a Targa 34 that I viewed many months ago but have now agreed a deal I am happy with. It's a 2005 with KAD300's, needs a good cut and polish and a service but hopefully otherwise is sound when it's is surveyed and sea trialled.
I might only be a boat for one or two seasons as we were ideally looking for a tidy T40 with D6's (but none around at the moment) and really did like the T43 mentioned in this thread and was very tempted to stretch ourselves, but I think the T34 will be a good stepping stone. With the deal I have agreed, the T43 would have cost half as much again so I would hope that I don't lose too much, if anything on the T34 when we do eventually find the right boat to trade up.
