A few years ago bought a 28ft single engine motor boat as a bit of an experiment to see if we liked it. Three years later - and we love it so much have decided to take the plunge and buy a bigger boat.

Having looked around for the last 6 months, we have pretty much settled on Fairline Targa as our boat of choice.

No disrespect to any other boats, but we've looked at loads now - It's horses for courses - and this ticks the boxes for us.

We are looking at 34s / 37s - probably with Kad44s, and looking to spend less than £75. Obv would like to spend less. Would like kad300s, but not seen any for this sort of cash at the moment - would they come up at the end of the season.

Any advice on these models would be appreciated.

What sort of age boat could we expect for the money ? Obv 37 would be older than 34 :)

Anything positive or negative to look for with these models?

Any boat will be surveyed & have engineer inspection (I recommend Nick Vass / Volvo Paul respectively :)

Thanks
DW

Not specifically; they are all just on my photobucket account.

Back to your op - I had a T37 w kad44s for a couple of years; loved it. Great hull; good accommodation; engine access a bit tight.

I bought a T34 in 2001 and still have it. And have no intention of selling, since I can't find anything that compares. Or even gets close. Just hate the current IKEA look.

Feel free to PM me with any questions.

I had a targa 34 and when I sold it, I regretted it ever since.
You will find it difficult to find something that cruises at 30knots and flats out around 40knots. With a clean bum and smooth sea, we managed 43 knots.
Currently, expect about £1 per minute to run on KAD 300s.
