Tank straps - diesel degradation?

The alu tanks on my boat are held down with cargo straps fixed through eye bolts. I am fairly happy with this and they are mostly in good condition after 8 years.

However the webbing on the diesel tank straps is yellowing - presumably because of spilt diesel over the years.

I am worrying this is likely to degrade the straps, though they look and feel strong enough. I assume they are nylon.

I'd like to replace them as a precaution. Anyone know if there is a webbing material which would be resistant to degradation from diesel?

Thanks

From Omega.com site dieselfuel (listed as fuel oils) is rated as unaffected. Any shop that sells nylon rigging lifting straps should be able to help with different lengths and widths with eyes sewn into the ends. Double check the chemical resistance there.
Some rigging suppliers will custom sew what you need.
They should be able to sew in any hardware if need be.

Many thanks for that - a very interesting site.
I've been able to get good quality stainless steel ratchet straps from topsandstrops before, so I'll use them again for this.

Nylon is weakened by acids

Polyester/ Terylene is weakened by alkalis

Polypropylene is OK with both acids and alkalis

All three materials are unaffected by low temperature diesel
