Can anybody help my Broom 450 has developed a fault with the port engine. For no apparent reason it disengages the drive and increases the revs to a 1000 revs. Stopping the engine and clearing the fault codes it will immediately restart. and might be alright for 5 minutes or 2 hours before it does again sometimes it can do it 6 or 7 times in space of 40 minutes other time run for three or four hours.
The edc panel shows a fault of 2.7 which is a potentiometer or wiring fault. I have the module between the throttles already done and I have replaced that in case it was that at fault. and no difference.
I tried swapping the wiring between the throttle potentiometers over from one side to the other but the fault stayed with the same engine.
I have disconnected every connection between the throttles and the engine and after cleaning them made sure that connection appears OK.
Nothing has made any difference anybody any other ideas as I am supposed to be leading our club cruise across to Holland on Saturday and I don't want to go with this hanging over my head but I don't want to let these people down either.
