Fisrt of all has anyone heard of the Taling 32?

Secondly the taling 30 was changed by adding a bowspirit and creating the Taling 32, after this the moulds were changed to create the taling 33

The difference in the 30 and 32 can be seen in the following pics

the dutch translation from the Taling site shows - The Taling 32 has the same hull as the Taling 30 but because the fierce sailor found the Taling 30 very boisterous, the Taling 30 was equipped with a bowsprit that catches the problem pretty well. That is how the Taling 32 was born. This operation makes the ship almost one meter longer.

What I wanted to know was if its worth adding the bowsprit myself since the 32's are hard to source or does some one have experience is what the costs of adding a bowsprit would be?

Would think th change was because the boat had weather helm without the bowsprit.

Looking at the pictures it seems also to have a new cutter rig so it is not just a simple case of adding the bowsprit. expect it would not be cheap to make the changes. The bowsprit looks a straightforward stainless steel fabrication, but you will also need two new forestays, a mast fitting to take the inner and new sails, although you may be able to modify the genoa.

Doubt you will find anybody here with direct experience of the boat as don't think it was ever sold in the UK. Best to try and track down the designer for advice.

Just looking at the pictures I would say that the only reason you would want the bowsprit would be for more sail area. ie better peformance in light winds. I don't think it would prove very useful with weather helm as w/h IMHO is mostly caused by over powering the boat. (depends on hull shape).
If you want better light wind performance perhaps a genacre to mast head and temporary bow sprit. But really I think you should be satisfied with what you have. ol'will

so I went and visited the Taling for sale today that was a 30 but it actually has the bowsprit, the guy had taken it off I assume to save on marina fees, (under 10m off, over 10m on) however he has a roller furler that attaches to the bow, so the next question is how easy would this be to adjust to move it about a meter forward to the bowsprit? Also I when I asked about the spars the guy kinda played dumb so I think he had sold them, these can be pricey to replace, does anyone know of a cheap option for new or second hand spars?

What do you mean by 'spars' .If it means the rig (mast and boom) most folk would not buy a boat without them, finding what you need might be a problem too far.
As for moving the furler, if you already have the longer forestay and its fittings, all you will probably need is an extra section of foil for the top BUT depending on the maker many of the parts can be obsolete and almost unobtainable.
I think a lot of people might suggest you walk away, but if you do want help you may need to provide more detail such as maker of rig, furler etc.

Ah reaching struts AKA whisker poles. ie short spin poles. You only need one anyway. Just tube with suitable parrot beak type fittings. Not at all essential to sailing just advantageous when running or reaching and not to my imagination related to the bowsprit question. Forget the bow sprit and buy the boat if you like it. ol'will
