Cruise Reports Taking our yacht to Sweden for the summer - any 50m marinas?

Don't worry about the crew cost for delivery, you'll get plenty of volunteers here... you just need to supply the booze (I'm Irish, so it may just be cheaper to pay me) :D

Roll on... shall I start packing the whiskey now?!

I was hoping this would be a more social boat than a corporate boat.

It's not a £30m-40m boat, no Vava II. It's far more utilitarian than that. Just a first boat that could become a fleet tender..... or (of course) do disaster relief.

I'll fill in some more of the details when we're slightly further off line.

Oh... and over budget by 100% for the sea trials part is not millions over. Just hundreds of k. Still very annoying. But not subverting funds that could otherwise cure cancer.

Hence why I said you'll have plenty of delivery crew volunteers from this forum (most of us are addicted to the water) .... we're plenty sociable :p

While the majority of forum members here are used to the corporate world (hence afford the boats), any that i've met in person, we only discussed the nice weather, boats and booze when we met... very little corporate talk.

Resisted posting so far, just following the fun!

But if I had the money to spend 30-40 million on this spec of yacht, the worry as to whether my 50,000 litres of fuel was e1.30 or e0.50 a litre wouldn't really be an issue!

Either it wouldn't be an issue or I would have made sure I could afford to run said yacht before ordering it!

The point is not the actual cost.... its whether you're getting honest advice, or the easiest advice.

Imagine you've just got a bill from BT, and it has this line item that says "£85 unexpected charges". So you call em up: "What's this?". /better quality calls sir.
/why?
/11 excellent reasons
/did i ask for this?
/no.
/why?
/reasons?

/none. But weve just done a deal with BOC and we can offer you heating oil for 1.30 a litre.....

/oh... what does it normally cost?

/40p.

/40p?

/40p.

/.......

/... sir, would you like to take up this special offer?

/um... probably not.

End of very humorous anecdote.
