Take one Britany anchor,an angle grinder, hammer and stick welder, a wet day where boredom has set in!
Cut all the bits off that you dont need, clean up between the flukes, then hammer the flukes together, weld on the shank to your guestimated angle.
All I need to do now is find something to use for the hoopy bit!:)

Craig will have kittens when NZ wake up today and he sees this :D:D
PS - is the paper plate underneath a critical part of the design?

He is very zealous when it comes to protecting his anchor design.I made my own copy and he threatened me with his lawyers.I think I'll make another...
If you now weld a loop af tube at the back you'll be sued or something.

philosphical expriemnts

No new anchor design is complete unless ALL of the below hold: (i) trials have been conducted in untypical conditions with a bizarre setting method and inappropriate scope; (ii) Its designers must say that it is immune from the laws of physics, and (iii) it must be asserted that all previous designs do not work under any circumstances whatsosever. Since these necessary conditions have not been met, it's clearly just a philosphical experiment;-)

Whittemore v. Cutter, 1813: “it could never have been the intention of the legislature to punish a man, who constructed such a machine merely for philosophical experiments, or for the purpose of ascertaining the sufficiency of the machine to produce its described effects."

(US case law, but equivalents almost anywhere. Just don't sell it!)

I can't quite make out if you have gone for convex or concave flukes - but something tells be you need one or the other!

Only if you are going to patent it and sell for treble the normal mark up. I think you should go for the Southern Hemisphere market first.

Its slightly concave, i placed a couple of wedges under each side to make it stand straight.

I like to think that it has similarities to three types of anchors (my Lawyer told me to say that):)

mate, a fine creation indeed, but as someone who has a 14kg Brittany anchor on my 32' yacht - what was wrong with the original?
I've had no problems with mine - sticks like ****e to fur mine!:):)

evolution often develops along parallel lines, showing insignificant minor variations, due to the Creator's whims rather than functional advantages.

There was nothing wrong with the original, in sand, mud etc, but I anchor to beaches with a steeply shelving bottom, and very stony, a bit hit and miss with the Britany.
