My Motorola tachometer undereads,does any one out there where I can get a replacement,have a replacement,recomend where it can be recalibrated etc.The tachometer is part of a dual station T.S.D.Y.I know it undereads as the one on the other station reads correctly and when I changed them over the problem was the same.The tachometer was fitted in 1987 and Motorola no longer service or supply parts or replacements. Any suggestions or offers of help gratefully recieved

Thought this was me posting for a moment!

Should be possible to recalibrate. Would be very easy if over reading, but will probably mean getting inside the unit for under reading. Depending where abouts you are, you should be able to find a marine electrical/instrumentation person to do it. Easiest to use an optical tachometer to get accurate measurement of engine speed, and calibrate accordingly. There should be an adjustment inside the module.

I know a good chap in Falmouth, should that happen to be your area.
