Hi all,
I've search the forum looking for the best tablet to use for navigation but there seams to be so many to choose from.
I'm looking at a huawei media pad T5 is there any folk out there using this tablet, and could someone confirm it does have full built in gps capability as in my search for a tablet someone stated it didn't but I believe it does.
Thanks in advance for your input
Regards Rachel

Hi I use the Huawei Pad T1 with OPCPN and have no issues the GPS lock is good and no issues , I assume the T5 is the better model so should still come with GPS
The only downside I have is the screen in sunlight you can still read it but not as bright
I have ordered one of these to help

As with all tablet navigation solutions, be aware of how the tablet obtains its location. Ensure it is in GPS only mode, for Android that is in settings>connection>locating method .... it needs to be tablet only (GPS) or it will use WiFi Access points or even Bluetooth devices to help determine location, which can give a dodgy position.

Failing that, phone the Chinese consulate, give them your Huawei serial no. and they will be able to locate you to the nearest cm. ;) ... obviously that bit was a joke.
