Tabernacle, balustrades and fixings onto an aluminium deck

Just for reference, here's my review of the book on Amazon: Check out this Amazon review of Metals in Boats
Thank you, much appreciated.

It is gratifying to note that every review I have read has been favourable, even one from my professional magazine that scored it 5/5.

Despite that, sales have been most disappointing, or were when I last checked. I think the publishers originally over-priced it and a later reduction came too late.

I done my bit to boost sales.

Unreal. I ordered it yesterday afternoon and it just arrived.

13 chapters, 126 pages with loads of illustrations.

I will read this week. Thank you.

It was kept on a swinging mooring with a rope strop to isolate it from the mooring chain.
Really surprised about the pin holes in the hull and the many stress fractures, specially being kept on a swinging mooring.

I think it would be wise to carry out an structural survey on mine every 5 years for the sake of giving me some peace of mind.

Plastic water pipe is a very useful bushing material. It will creep over time but so will HDPE, maybe more so. I reamed out my gooseneck fitting and installed water pipe bushes expecting to replace them annually but 10 years later the first one is still there.
