Sulk if you like ............ it's not big or clever !! And I'm not talking about the envy thing.

Not sure I want to treat my nails like hooves ........... horses have teeth too but I'm not going to start filing mine down with a rasp!

Sent you a message - but don't this this lot started on apres sail !!

Still they'll be back to normal soon, talking about stitch quality on ensigns and the lack of colour choice for fender socks!

You obviously missed my in depth article on how to make fender socks cheaply and any colour you want! but I guess you were probably doing what wimmin should be doing, a bit of cleaning or ironing.

Re: SWMBO\'s and other lady forumites

A husband is at home watching a football game when his wife interrupts, honey, could you fix the light in the hallway? It’s been flickering for weeks now. He looks at her and says angrily; fix the light, now?
Does it look like I have an electrician logo printed on my forehead?
I don’t think so!

The wife asks, well then, could you fix the fridge door? It won’t close right. To which he replied, fix the fridge door? Does it look like I have Hotpoint written on my forehead? I don’t think so.

Fine, she says then you could at least fix the steps to the front door? They’re about to break. I’m not a damn carpenter and I don’t want to fix the steps, he says. Does it look like I have B&Q DIY written on my forehead? I don’t think so.
I’ve had enough of you.
I’m going to the pub !!!

So he goes to the pub and drinks for a couple of hours. But then he starts to feel guilty about how he treated his wife, and decides to go home and help out.
As he walks into the house he notices the steps are already fixed. As he enters the house, he sees the hall light is working. As he goes to get a beer, he notices the fridge door is fixed.

Honey, he asks, how’d all this get fixed?

She said, well, when you left I sat outside and cried. Just then a nice young man asked me what was wrong, and I told him. He offered to do all the repairs, and all I had to do was either go to bed with him or bake a cake.

Her husband said, so what kind of cake did you bake him?

She replied, hellooooo.......do you see Delia Smith written on my forehead?
I don’t think so!

Re: but

.A guy with a black eye boards his plane and sits down in his seat. He notices immediately that the guy next to him has a black eye, too. He says to him, "Hey this is a coincidence, we both have black eyes; mind if I ask how you got yours?" The other guy says, "Well, it just happened. It was a tongue twister accident. See, I was at the ticket counter and this gorgeous blonde with the most massive breasts in the world was there So, instead of saying, 'I'd like two tickets to Pittsburgh', I accidentally said, 'I'd like two pickets to Tittsburgh' So she socked me a good one. "The first guy replied, " Wow! This is unbelievable. Mine was a tongue twister too. I was at the breakfast table this morning and I wanted to say to my wife, 'Please pour me a bowl of Frosties, honey.' But I accidentally said, 'you ruined my life you fat evil slag'

Re:cooking for 4

Ms. tome writes "Also, the frying pan was too small to cook 4 breakfasts at once. "

Simple, SHMO cooks breakfast for the skipper and only after he is fed does she cook for the "crew" then finally she can make herself something to eat.

Works for me! /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Hmm. Was the woman a marine engineer. Those co-ordinates are in the Atlantic about 600 miles due east of Washington DC

'was this woman a marine engineer?'

Now that you mentioned it .............YES....... how should I know?

Sorry I have more important things to do than look up co-ordinates of a joke e.g looking up nail strengthener products on websites. I'll let you know when I have decided on the colour.

Ruth

Agree with all you have said, 'n stuff - but what caught my eye was the secret of not shredding nails.

My co-partner in sailing and in life would love to have the answer to that one. She has two nail lengths. Summer and Winter.

Regards

Donald

Hi I am female. and post on here, but mainly on mobo, I love boating and work in the Marine industry,y in a very male dominated part of it, at present.
I think it would be great to have a Lady's forum meeting, and swap ideas etc sometime. Any one like that idea???/forums/images/icons/smile.gif
