Is it showing +30 or -30 ?Hi All.
The Amps Load indicator on my switch panel always shows nearly plus 30 amps. Even with nothing switched on. I assume not normal and I have a power drain on something? Not sure what a minus reading would indicate either.
Any thoughts please.
Paul, Looks like +30, green bit at bottom righthand bar. Tink he may have a duff indicator? Is it showing +30 or -30 ?
-30 would be a huge drain, unlikely.
+30 could be the mains charger is on, but i wouldn't expect it to be always at +30
Regards, Paul.
Had some additional info via PM, the charger is on and the + reading varies, OP is going to turn the charger off and see what happens.Paul, Looks like +30, green bit at bottom righthand bar. Tink he may have a duff indicator?![]()

Amazing how that little bit of "Unimportant" info. makes a difference.Had some additional info via PM, the charger is on and the + reading varies, OP is going to turn the charger off and see what happens.
Sounds like it.Went to boat today. Disconnected mains, indicator stayed at plus 30. Turned on everything, "domestic" dropped a little to say plus 25... so I assume the display ( or the bits behind it) is knackered!
I did wonder about a 30 amp charge, sounded a bit on the high side? Could have a big battery bank!Sounds like it.
If it's still showing +30 with the shore power disconnected there's something wrong with the ammeter, unless it has a very big solar array.I did wonder about a 30 amp charge, sounded a bit on the high side? Could have a big battery bank!![]()
