Hi all, hopefully this info is of help to other owners.. On changing the fuel filter setup to a duplex Racor on our ST35 we found 20 litres of water in the fuel tank (that’s 2 large buckets worth)… I thought it may have been leaking through the fuel filler, but that was sound… the only explanation we could find was a previous owner filling it with water by accident (the water filler is hidden at the rear of the boat, but the fuel filler is next to the waste pump out). We got all the water out… the tank is a actually quite accessible. Not something easily picked up by a survey… Beneteau/ Ancasta provided some schematics when we investigated this, including the fuel tank set up as we were also considering a fuel polisher install… diagrams attached just in case they are of help to the community here… I’ll also post them on the swift trawler owners club for maximum reach… this kind of info seems quite hard to get hold of…
interesting that the fuel pickup in the tank seems to say “The suction tube must go as low as possible in order to pump the sludge”..!!
