Hi

I am considering a liveaboard life doing blue water cruising. Plan to go down to med then suez, red sea, indian ocean etc. One of the yachts I have been looking at is a Sweden (looking at a 45 or a 41). Does anyone have an open on their suitability as a liveaboard/blue water cruiser ?

any comments welcome

thanks

Lovely boat. I went through the whole exercise 18 months ago and we now have a Hallberg Rassy 46. She is asy to handle and ideal for 2 or 4 persons. The wife was a bit daunted at first but no problem now. Does it have a bow thruster. Good bit of kit when you are on your own. Also furling sails and electric primary winches takes a lot of the hard work out of it. I looked at Marlow 45 Sweeden yachts 50 and Oysters but it was what was available at the time at the right price (Last August). PM me if you want more detailed information or advice.

sweeden yachts were on my final list as was marlow, pacific sea craft and a hallberg rassy43 which is now being built for us. fell in love with it as soon as i stepped on board and it was the only boat we kept comming back to. its worth a look at the duesseldorf boat show. good luck and happy shopping.
