Our planned course works out at 167 degs. So now you know what direction it will come from! They also show rain for Friday, so that will make a change.

I wish I knew more about white wines, I don't dislike them per se but I've had a long apprenticeships with reds. Strangely or maybe not 90% of what we buy these days is not French albeit mostly bought in France from the Vins Etrangers shelf.

If I cook it then it is CORDON BLEU by definition. If SWMBO cooks it, then it is definitely very nice food, she is an excellent cook in an anglo-american style. Personally I don't DO nice, only 5 Bridgestone star stuff and even then the accompanying stuff is left to my sous chef. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I tend to do Tesco myself, unless of course I'm trying to impress, in which case I'll do Waitrose.


Its much more important to get the vino right, Lanliq goes down a treat, as well as packing a hell of a kick.

1) Is it possible to go alongside the pier?
Are you taking your Climbing gear? Might be ok to take the rubber duck there.
2) Are there mooring buoys?
Yes but I wouldn’t trust them, several disused for a number of years.
3) Where's the best holding if at anchor?
You can get inside the mooring buoys at around 50°36.58N 01°57.15W

4) Which shop does the best fish & chips?
The one on the N side of the small square wasn’t bad last time I was there.

Jimi - Anchor as close inshore as your confidence in your tide calcs allow!!
To cross link on an earlier thread of yours as I have a small one when its lifted, I can get in further and get more enjoyment.

Anyway here's to better weather for us, I am hoping to overtide on the Erchou and maybe Minquiers next sometime during next couple of weeks.
