SW Sunk

I crept over it for a laugh last Saturday, coming back from Ramsgate. On my electronic Chart plotter, the beacon is still marked as being there. I gave it a guard zone easting of 0.2 milesand went east of it.
Charted depths as shown on latest Admiralty leisure folios of 2009 were shy by about 0.2m on my calculations, but it was a fairly high pressure day at about 1022mb if I recall.
The northern tip of the Middle Sunk Sand seemed to have grown a bit of a spit to the east, leaving me with 2.4m on an expected 3.0m.

I was there around 1.5 hours before LW.

Nice to go back over, I had fond memories of the Sunk Bn, and had quite a ruck with Trinity House when it fell over.

Some years ago, I was delivering a Limbo I had sold to a chap from Brighton, and he gave me the wrong bearing over the sand at 4am, and we went aground miles from anywhere. An education indeed for him.
