Suzuki DF 50 starting problem when cold/freezing.
Our local outboard man is on lockdown. My knowledge of fuel injection is limited to Bosch systems from the '70s.
The engine is a fuel injected 3 cylinder and normally very well mannered. There is a label on the controls telling one to push the key in if 'choke' is needed.
So...around about freezing...turn the key and it starts immediately but dies within 5 seconds or so. Hold the key in and it may last up to ten seconds or so before stopping.
Do this 15-20 times and it starts to run and all is OK for the rest of the day.
So I assume there is a temp sender or the equivalent that may not be doing its job??? Sounds like I might need to check connections etc...but where should I be looking???
Any help much appreciated
