We've had this motor since our cuddy / Torquay / Bavaria days back in 2012 - 2015. She was last used in anger back in 2018.

Took her out of our panole (basically a lock up). No oil in engine and petrol tank bone dry....

FIlled with fresh oil and new petrol today and she started on the second pull - not sure if that was luck or judgement - suspect the former... But was totally shocked

Edit... Actually it was about the 5th pull as someone forgot to turn the fuel tap on <ahem>

Just goes to show the confidence of youth (well a 29 year old)... Let's row her back from the fuel dock and try and start her back at at the berth...."nah dad it'll be fine"... Even the mariner was high fiving us ???

I had something similar with a Yamaha 2.5 which had not been used for two years or so. It still had oil and petrol in it so I did not fill anything up.
I thought I would just gently turn the engine over before checking oil and putting some fresh petrol in it. I was worried it might be seized.
On the second gentle pull it started.

I fell over backwards in the dinghy having totally unexpected it.
