Hi Guys

Yesterday i decided to run the motor for few minutes in water tank. After 5 minutes Check engine light started flashing with a series of sound. See video attached. Does someone know what this code stand for? motor is brand new and im worried regarding this issue. Appreciate your help.

thanks a lot for your reply. What does it mean exactly? is it something serious?

The oxygen sensor is plugged in the exhaust side, and is used by the ECU as one of a number of inputs to control fuelling, so it does need to work properly for the engine to run well.

I'd start be having another session in the tank, but this time in-gear, at say 1000rpm (or whatever is sensible without all the water leaving the tank). Could be it just got a little bunged up from running at idle.

Else, it's a dealer job to fix (as it's a new motor and under warranty).
Should be an easy fix for them, with the correct part.

How far away is your nearest dealer, they will just plug it in and have a look?

Does the pattern of the flashing light count or just the beep? confused.

I didn't think these engines had an oxygen sensor fitted permanently. My understanding was that it is plugged in just for servicing purposes at suitable intervals. I'll check my df200 manual for codes in case they compare.

The newer ones do.

Still havent discovered what is it for. First of all would like to enquire ( Help is greatly appreciated ) if the code is recognizable from the beep or the flash? Also if i take boat to dealer will he plug it to a laptop or something and discover issue?
My main issue after reading the manual which is not very clear and understandable is that this issue arises after 5 minutes running engine . When i stop the engine and restart it beeps and flashes dont occur again. So if it is a faulty sensor indicating why when i restart it will not beep/ flash again. Because i assume if a sensor is faulty and diagnostic system is indicating a fault it will beep/ flash always? Thanks Guys.

When you had the oil changed, did the engineer 'tell' the computer he had changed the oil? On my df300 there was a sequence you had to do which involved turning the ignition, removing the kill switch and doing this in a certain order

Yes as it was the first service the dealer done it and he ' told ' the computer he done the change. But the lights flashing for the oil change would be the oil light and not the check engine if im correct. Dealer told me maybe low voltage or some loose connection but charged the battery and still flashing and beeping. Very confused as it is a new motor its worrying me and im not happy about this issue.

Is it possible that this issue arise because i applied grease where the contacts are at the battery selector? Ive put grease on the connections ( at the back of battery selector) in order to prevent corrosion. But while reading the manual, error code seemed that it is something of low voltage or overcharged. Removed all grease , started the engine today and the error code did not appear. Could it be related or?
