Yes, reasonable survey, but whilst doing it his 'assistant' lowered the radar arch through the bimini rail, pulling its fittings out of the GRP. He immediately told me about it, and had it sorted (almost, still needs a bit of work) - but it didn't impress me, particularly as I'd said that the electrics didn't need testing.

Derek is pretty pleased with his work though.

I have used Jim Pritchard on the last 2 boats and have been pleased with the results. Give him a clear brief of what you want and he will deliver. May have to chase him for the final written report.

The boot's on the other foot with this one - he's acting for the prospective purchaser of my Targa 37. I just wanted to gain an impression of the chap before I let him loose on my lovely boat on Thursday....

He acted for the purchaser of our last boat, seemed thorough and gave sensible pragmatic advice to the buyer about the few issues found. All in i'd say he helped to get the deal done in a fair way.
