So the P57 is being surveyed today by Paul Homer. The sea trial is arranged for 3.00 pm and i'm planning to go along if I can get away from Brum in time. If anyone's out and about on the Hamble later then give us a wave. Engine survey is happening on Friday, so should know if everything is OK for early next week. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Boat probably too new to have any problems but would urge caution if Homer picks on anything significant. Be prepared to investigate further rather than write it off.

Yep, it went fine, surveyor really struggled to find anything. In the end he came up with the rudder bushes may be a bit worn and should be replaced next time the boat is out of the water, and the seacocks need working a bit. Other than that a clean bill of health. Also had the engines checked by RK Marine today, and again no major issues.

It goes really well and cetainly corners a bit more sharply that the T46 despite being bigger. You get a bit more engine noise on the fly, but then MB&Y reckoned the T46 was the one of the quietest boats they'd tested.

We only popped out into Southampton water for a few mins, so didn't get many photos, but here's the boat on arrival, ready to go:

Still do hate Jet Ribs, so this one stays with the seller. Actually I maybe wouldn't mind a 4 stroke one, but £15k!!?? The old one was daylight robbery at £10k. I think i'm going to get a 3.4 m Zodiac with centre console and 30 hp Honda 4 stroke, should do all the pulling skiers and ringos stuff, but also be quiet for pottering about and light enough to drag onto the beach.

There are two 8 man liferafts, but the other one's in a locker in the cockpit, although the sellers keeping those too so i'll have to get new ones.
