Supersonic Spearfish

Jeez, everyone's touchy this morning. You're touchy about your snapper work and t'other bloke is touchy about the RB race. OK, I accept you are the David Bailey and Patrick Lichfield of marine photography. Praps I'll even use you for the next family wedding /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yes, chipboard and a horrible splatter gun paint finish in the cabin.

Dont go thinking Fairey boats were something special, production line boats were talking about, built for lightness too. not some teak on oak bronze fastened affiar.

I've lived and breathed mine for long enough to know how she was built.

Ooooooo-Er!.........perhaps I wont be having one at the top on my shopping list then! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Morning All. How could I ignore such an interesting thread?? As Simon says it was a beautiful day with a swell that allowed, in fact positively encouraged, such aerobatics. That weekend was actually the first time I've had her fully out of the water!! (I'm normally such a careful driver!!!)
Thank you to all for the various compliments. She is a beautiful boat and I'm very pleased with the way she's finished up, lots of hard work I promise you!!
Anyway, we are firmly in the 'group of friends out for a laugh' camp but I hope you'll continue the interest and watch our progress both on our own website and the race website.
Wish us luck!!!
cheers Jonathan Napier

Well done for entering Miss Daisy - I am very envious, would have loved to enter our Triana 25 which is an identical sister to the Miss Bovril boats that competed in 69.

Unfortunately my current budget wouldn't stretch to the petrol costs for a circumnavigation....

We have signed up to safety boat for the start/finish legs so will be there to see you off. [and back!]

Good luck, and given a bit of weather I reckon you might show those modern boats a thing or two!

Paul.
