Super low Tide This Morning.

There was a moderate negative surge at LW Harwich this morning, no idea if it would have been similar on the Medway though. Lowest predicted morning tide was Saturday at Harwich at 0.2., this morning it was 0.11.

Blimy youre good :)
There were two objects protruding out of the water .
Anchor fluke or bit of branch. My guess is the former .

Doubt Peel ports are going to have many concerns or interest.

Fairly convinced that the above was a result of coming into contact with that fluke.
Being an expert on frequently coming into contact with the putty , you do get to be an expert on the sorts of sounds being transmitted into the boat via the props and shafts.
Soft gravel or larger rocks are simple to interpret. Tinkle Tinkle or Donk Donk
The picture above came with a loud thud and the engine stalling. Minor damage to a single blade tip but a bent P bracket and 1.5" shaft. :(

UKHO will be interested. Send in an H102 with both the image of the 'flukes' and the prop. I would suggest adding a conclusion that give the proximity to the pontoon/hammerhead, this needs to be recorded as an 'Obstn' - especially if you have evidence that it is long standing. It is a matter for the UKHO to decide how to handle this. My experience with the UKHO that they are very interested in sensible reports by yachtsmen and women even if it isn't in open waters.

Oh no, not again! Do you think the obstruction is new? Could be hangover from RCC's pre-pontoon moorings?

Might have been !
Cannot recall them having anything up that far. It frequently dries there on big springs and the bottom is mega hard.

The anchor fluke also seems be facing the wrong for any downstream ground chain. ?
