Sunspot 15

I have comeaccross a Sunspot 15 that I would like to buy. It has a mast that comes apart in two halves a bit like a toppers mast. Has anyone else come accross this on a Sunspot 15 or any like small cruiser?

I had a Sunspot 15 for a while, different mast to what you describe though. Humblebee was it's name then, and I knew of two others.

Hi plimb.

The two part mast seems handy for trailing / storage but may not be so spiffing for withstanding sailing stresses; would need to see more details.

I'm pretty sure I have the original brochure for the Sunspot - great boat, a cousin of the Illustrious Leisure 17 - if you PM me your e-mail I'd be happy to scan it, if you don't have it already.

Probably not . It's not a Sunspot in that picture anyway . Its a Sunstar 18 ! A boat almost identical to the Leisure 17.

( PS. I know of a nice Sunstar for sale if anyone is interested )
