If he needs a crew for it, there's a number of crew members from an italian cruise ship, recently made unemployed due to hitting a small rock that will be looking for work... :)

I can't believe that he's made enough money to buy - and run - a boat that size just from appearing on a reality TV show. According to Mr Google, he is a "bespoke tailor" which could mean anything from being the owner of a posh business to being the guy who cuts the cloth in the back room.

Maybe his family has money, and/or maybe he was buying something much more modest from Sunseeker and had a look round the big one while he was there? That's my guess.

Are we sure its not just a publicity stunt? How can a C list sleb afford a £5m boat?

wannabees are falling over each other to be on reality shows like this (though i've not seen this particular one), so the producers don't need to pay them very much to appear. I agree with Deleted User, probably a publicity stunt that works for both Sunseeker and the show producers, or maybe he bought one of the new 40 footers, and they invited him onto the big yachts as they would any customer.

He tweeted put a deposit down on a sunseeker bring on the summer.. Is that when they told him it would be ready, thought they had waiting list..

Speaking to SS before the show, most if not all new builds are 12 months, the Portofino 48 they had there was for sale?
