Sunk vivacity 20

Has anyone on here got a Vivacity 20? if yes could you post a picture of your rudder?
I have taken the dims off the net but would like to see what it looks like .

Fixed the hole today that sunk her
The rudder is 2 18mm marine ply laminated together and faired.

Looking at the pictures , Do you have the rudder blade already made ?

This was sent to me by a Hurley owner . He did not know if it was for an Alacrity or a Vivacity . It's a little bigger than mine .

Utterly, utterly brilliant. All the doom-mongers, with their predictions of vast expenditure and years of tears, are going to have to come on and admit they were wrong when Quicky (well named) has her sailing within, I predict, a month of taking her on. Well done.

A couple of the Vivacity owners in my club have made their own swing up rudders so that they don't need to remove them on their drying moorings. I think the originals had to be lifted off and put in the cabin.

Slightly off topic but doesn't this disprove the whole osmosis cause of year round afloat? This yacht was sunk for years and doesn't have osmosis - those who now argue that some hulls are just prone to it and others not becuase of their layup may well be right.

I am still planning what to do to the interior and could do with some ideas of what other Vivacity owners have done.

Lustyd I didn't think of the cut out for the prop, thanks for pointing that out I wouldn't have thought of that

At work today I managed to do some more on the rudder cutting the shoulders and marking out for the bracket for when I get the router out.
I think before I get carried away I better get the outboard on the boat and check the rudder doesn't get in the way of the prop, Thanks Lustyd.

I'd say Quicky will do this for a fraction of the costs PBO have. They are doing it all "properly", with all the expensive paint and gear.
A DIY'er can do it for peanuts if he scrimps and scrounges and does it all himself using cheaper products, and whatever is to hand at the right price.

wouldn't say cheaper products I would just say it has not got the "Marine" badge on it .

I wouldn't waste my money on Marine paint to be honest with you, would you paint a chalet on a beach with Marine paint? I didn't and it is looking ansum we paint it every 2 years with a good exterior paint why should a boat be any different.

I designed and built my own boat and she is still going strong after over 2 years with using leftovers from the sites.
The 4x2 timbers frames came out of a skip and the ply is only 9mm WBP with matting & west system epoxy the paint is just normal exterior paint.
