Took the launch out for a saunter up & down the river. Usually after a the river has been in flood I get to 'beachcomb' the banks finding everything from picnic tables to fenders and footballs for my dogs. Nuddinks! one lousy cheapo ball that 'OI' punctured in moments. I did see a couple of neglected abandoned boats moored downstream, one was a Broom and one was Sealine but couldn't board them to see if there was anything worth salvaging because there were peeps walking their dogs on the opposite bank.

Don't you take Ocean Eagle for a saunter, do them Volvos good to have a run uder a bit of load, I would have thought.

Would have thought you'd get away with boarding anything in that launch, peeps would think you are EA, 'specially if you put on your gold braid ;-)

Dad,

I told you Byron was too clever to board our boats,

Better go a take up the mines and which off the electic hand rails.

I've got another idea to catch him........................

Took mine out on Saturday, nobody about at all, blis, stil had red board but looked at the river and wondered what I was worried out, nice to be able to open her up a little - only saw logs in the river - sorry nothing more interesting. Current was a little more lively through the islands at Medmenham than usual.

Nearly lost SWMBO overboard when mooring up - classic case of not communicating well enough - still a lesson learned and all that :-)

Why do you only saw logs in the river..is this a motoboti ritual? ..also re other post re swich off electric hand rails..thinkin of fittin lectric fence to my guard wires...does yours work..advert says keeps away sabre tooth bengal tigers..mite giv it a try..

After the river has been in flood there's always a certain amount of debris, cut logs washed off the banks and the like. The best I ever saw was a 3 piece suite floating along closely followed by a T.V. with missing innards, took me hours to work out why I couldn't get a picture.

Simon,

Pity we missed him on sunday, he must have been down river while we were trying to jemmy open his boat. He might have stayed at home and supplied us with tea or something, it was veru cold on his deck. (Only joking Byron!!!!!!!!!!)

Dad

You are quite right Byron, they do look a little sad this time of year.
Being a fair weather sailor, when the sun signs they will get cleaned fffor the summer. Regretfully, not before unless you are offering

I was going to pop down there today and wash/polish it for you but then I figured you might be offended. When are you having your arch done by Mike? You can bring it here for that if you want, then they can get their Vehicle alongside.

Thanks for the offer, I might take you up on that. Am waiting for Mike to come back to me as soon as he has the gas rams, should be any day now.
