I am after some navy blue Sunbrella to make some patch repairs to my lazy bag. There used to be various UK based eBay suppliers that provided small quantities/offcuts but most now seems to come from the US with quite high delivery and presumably customs costs. Any obvious UK source or is it a case of just ringing around various sailmakers?

Wrong colours for the OP but endoflinefabrics.co.uk has some very cheap Sunbrella. No connection - just a satisfied customer.

If the OP just wants small offcuts I would have thought a good canvas canopy maker such as Tecsew in Gosport might have patch sized pieces which would otherwise be wasted. I guess it's really a colour matching issue and size of repair required though if visible patch is needed.

Thankyou. I will try Kayospruce as they will be used to sending out samples for colour matching purposes.

A lady here who does such work ,says Sampson lasts longer, and is far cheaper than sunbrella. It is 3 oz loose weave polyester, saturated with PVC. I use it for everything, from lazy bag to wind vane to berth cushion upholstery, and wouldn't change. Have done for years . It is what waterproof, kayakers dry bags are made of.
Next project ? Using it for a new, furling jib UV cover.

Kayospruce samples are very small! They also don't sell Sunbrella required for stackpacks, Bainbridge is the supplier.

How much do you need and do you have a photo of the colour as I have plenty of offcuts that I will send your way!

>Fake?

All scams and fakes have and extra name in, in this case Dickson. You will find that in scam web sites which many people fall for because they don't see it, usually they pay to be in the top few so people look no further.

All buses may be red, but that doesn't mean all red things are buses.

What if an American company called Glen Raven were the parent company of Sunbrella (in the US) and Dickson technical fabrics (in Europe)? You might want to withdraw your claim that Kayospruce are selling fakes.

Anyway, FWIW the cockpit bench cushions I made of this stuff in Navy from Kayospruce are holding up very well!

That is rubbish. Dicksons Constant are the French distributors for Sunbrella fabrics.

Why do you always get things wrong?
