Quite acceptable for the other yacht to hail you when there is a right of way issue.
It is certainly NOT acceptable for him/her to give abuse, or try to intimidate you.

Last Sunday was the first race of the Warsash S.C. Spring series, probably the major spring series on the South Coast.(6 races over 6 Sundays, Yachts from many different clubs, not just the W.S.C.)
Contact the Warsash Sailing Club Spring Series co-ordinator, and find out if the offending yacht was competing in this series, and give them the facts.
If this was competing in their series, they could penalise the yacht, or issue a warning.
The W.S.C. will certainly take this very seriously.
