In the UK we put fenders out whilst entering port, and store when departing.I like the picture on the front cover......was it too cold to send somebody out to put the fenders over the side ?

So....the headline was lying....what else was a lie ?....were you even on that flybridge...or were passed out below from too much rum ?In the UK we put fenders out whilst entering port, and store when departing.
Does it look like a harbour , oh Jim sent his regards . Jim’s dads name is Harley and his dad is named David. On his family tree it is down as Harley David’s Son.I like the picture on the front cover......was it too cold to send somebody out to put the fenders over the side ?

She’s a big girl !....you could certainly live on her full time in comfort and style. A timeless classicIT’S ALIVE !!! I went to see in Antibes and not in good shape -looks like someone bought it - brought her back to USA - fixed her up a bit - now it’s here in the USA where I live. Greetings to everyone from San Diego California https://www.yachtworld.com/yacht/1982-hatteras-65-long-range-cruiser-9938430/
The electrics are not compatible with our 220v shore power or appliances like say your phone charger .
You can get them converted but it’s expensive .
Why would they step down from 110 volt .The boat looks a beauty. It resembles a Grand Banks of that era and there are plenty of them in the Med. You have to rig up a passerelle for boarding when you come in stern to, which is the default docking method in the Med. As Porto says the electrical connections are a problem but I’ve seen US boaters using a step down transformer without any problem (that I know of).
Perhaps they want to step down from 220 voltsWhy would they step down from 110 volt .
It's rather to than from. Why would they step down from 110 volt .
50Hz in the EU and 60Hz in the USofANeed to deal with frequency as well as voltage.
I can't see what difference it makes, if a US boat built for 120V is directly connected to a 120V shore line, vs. a 240V shore line with a voltage+frequency converter in between. That’s a great shout JFM , they will run but could over heat due to higher amps which could cause fire , they would run upto 15% more load give or take .
