Suicide attempt on Twickenham bridge

Driving back from a little job in Richmond i saw some poor bugga on the outside of the bridge with a police man trying to talk to him . The tide is out and its running very fast .I called Teddington lock to see if the habour master had been informed as i didnt see any boats and was told the lifeboat had just been launched . I dont fancy his chances if he does jump . /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Lets hope the police manage to dissuade him.

At lunchtime I went down to Richmond Lock. They had the central gate open to help the floodwater clear downstream. Very strong flow going through this central section. You certainly would not want to be swept through there.
