You can say that again. At this point in the season I'm sure there's a deal to be done
You can say that again.
At "0 ex VAT" I might consider getting both...![]()
I see that Bates have a couple of Open Targas in stock and presumably for immediate delivery.

Can’t see em being interested in a T43 or 63 GTOChrist, is that what normally happens in Mallorca? I'm glad to not be there... :ambivalence:
Any perceived or likely increase in value from the shrewd investment in on shore property ( villa ) will be wiped out by the depreciation disaster of “ investing “ in a new boat .+ insurance is generally ( rightly or wrongly) based on % of value .
The OPs guilt trip when fibreglass meets concrete will be shorter and manageable with a used boat .![]()
Wife flew straight back to the U.K. with the kids and he put the villa and boat ( less than 6 months old ) on the market .
They never went back .
Google crime + Majorca to get a handle where it sits .
You can find violent crime everywhere, even Alpes Maritime isn't immune - https://www.thelocal.fr/20170103/heres-where-youre-most-likely-to-get-robbed-in-france.
Scary story.
Otoh, I struggle to see how an Itama could be a solution to that problem.
Moving elsewhere is the only sensible option popping to my simple mind...![]()
Actually I didn't - this is a cut and paste of my suggestion:Drug runners on the mainland EU don’t need a fast boats like MapisM suggested
Btw, the heritage of your boat comes straight from Ray Hunt, Dick Bertram and Don Aronow experiences.
It isn't my compatriot Amati who invented deep vee hulls, you know. He just perfected it, in his own way.
Trouble is, as I tried to explain in my post #22, over the Pond they were able to move on from the Magnum days.
And I don't think that all the open boats with big outboards which they sold like hot cakes in the last years were all bought "by the criminal fraternity".
Regardless, even if they were, FG can only regret not having jumped on that bandwagon, if the sales of new Itamas are anything to go by... :ambivalence:
Thread overboard
Guilty as charged .
Buts what your take on theses modernist day cruisers
Pardo
Fjord
Wally
?
It was an interesting diversion.
Modernist day cruisers... they are stunning! And I’d probably favour one over something like a more traditional targa 43 style boat. Absolutely perfect for a day boat, but probably wouldn’t overnight with one.
I wonder how well the design ages, will it look great now but awful in 5-10 years?
For me now what is interesting me and need to look into more are these modern day boats, but I’m also keen to see more with smaller (under 15m) Flybridge.
Thanks for the suggestions
