Hi all
New to this forum.
I currently have a 6m Rib and but am looking to step up to a larger boat. I have been looking at Fairline, Sunseeker and a number of others around the 30-34ft with either the Kad32 or slightly older AD41. I would prefer diesel and 4births. I have about 50k for my budget. I,m looking for a deep v hull as I will mainly be using in the Solent.

Andy, a warm welcome to the forum! Three will be a number of boats matching your budget and spec. You will probably be looking at a mid/late 1990's boat, unless you go a bit smaller to a Sealine S28. However, I saw a really nice T34 in the summer on the Hamble. She looked fantastic, and held her age well.

Good luck!

Having previously owned a Cranchi Zaffiro 34, I can highly recommend them. Don't know what they're making these days though

-Edit- Just saw your budget. Doubt you'd be getting a 34ft boat for £50k but i'm open to correction. Maybe 15+ years of age actually

There is a rather nice SS portofino 34 for sale at present, think its on eBay as a classified at present, twin ad41 and I know it was a very good boat circa 5yrs ago!.....as thats when I sold it, I also refurbed it to a high standard as the pic's if current show, it's located Solent area and well within budget!....no connection whatsoever though as I can't even remember the chap's name who bought.
Rob.

Funny i have just got back from viewing the SS Portofino off of the ebay site. She is lying just past southsea marina on a mud birth. She is in good condition for age and seems in good running order just requires a replacement canopy and some TLC...

Although as yet i have nothing to compare it to, however i have found the identical model in portsmouth which i will arrange a viewing. I'm just not to sure if a boat of this age might be heading for trouble? I have done a little research into the AD41 v the KAD32 and i think correct me if I'm wrong the AD41 although old tech seems a good solid engine without the Turbo and supercharger. Thank you for reply's Andy

The ad41 is turbocharged.
I have a kad32 and have not had any turbo or supercharger issues.

I recently asked opinion and the wisdom is there is little to pick between the two engines . If a choice had to be made pick one with the best service history.

Fairline Corniche 31 is 34' decent for a deal less than £50k.

Also the semi displacers such as Aquastar 33, Corvette 32 (budget a bit low, but what a boat).

One nice boat to look in that budget and possible to find is the Sunseeker 35 San Remo. A similar hull to the previously and replaced 34 Portofino and a nice 2 cabins plus convertible saloon layout.
I think it can also be possible to get an early to mid nineties Fairline 30/33 Targa with that budge, aft looking radar arch. I would put these two boats in top of the list.

These are good choices and easily achieved for 50K, I would go for the AD41's as the straight six is much smoother than the KAD32 four cylinders.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have found a number of boats to look at just need to go and see them now! Another question for anyone that may know. I,m looking for somewhere in the Chichester area to moor the boat but i'm not to keen on the Premier marina costs. Thinking there might be some private moorings or club moorings available

Sparkes Marina have some swinging moorings just in the reach off the marina which are quite well priced and offer good shelter.

Also there is Emsworth Marina which has a sill so entry/exit is restriced to about 3 hours either side of high water with an out drive boat so you save a decent wedge there as well.

Kept a boat at both and they are nice though have compromises. Premier Chicherster is ususally considered a budget option on the south coast. You have looked intot he cost of fuel for a twin diesel sports boat havent you....
