Been tucked up in Lowestoft since tuesday, because of unsuitable winds. Although for the last two days the marina has been crammed with hearty Dutch racers. And I mean crammed - rafted up to 5 abreast at one time. I scratched my head and visualised dotted lines on the water for me to follow if I wanted to go but concluded that a long-keeler, single handed like me had better stay put. Off they went this morning; I was a bit envious of how even big boats can swivel around in a snake hipped fashion with a burst of throttle and a squirt from the bow thruster.
The Royal Norfolk and Suffolk makes this an agreable place to be stuck. I've probably got too comfy.

No the feeling only too well.....the Rn&S is nice but the limited appeal of Lowestoft soon runs out!!! I was stuck there for 4 days 2 years ago when the fog was so thick I entered the harbour using only the plotter as I couldn't even see each side or the entrance yet 400 yards inland it was blazing hot.........…really irritating :)
