Hi,
I was out sailing, enjoying the Indian summer a few days ago, when I noticed my Stowe Echosounder was displaying "250P". I checked my manual, but couldn't find any info. I switched thew sounder off/on.....no change. I tried pressing buttons on it....no good.
I have a repeater over the chart table, which was working quite happily, so obviously no problem with the transducer.
After about 1/2 hour, the sounder suddenly sprang back into life again. An hour later, it failed again, then recovered, and was OK for the rest of the week.
Does anyone know what "250P" means?....it had been a foggy morning, so it could have been a problem with dampness.......
