Storms in Torquay

Not in the marina or Torquay but we have had much worse this summer in Devon.
Over 35kts in Plymouth for a time but from the East so very unlikely to be a problem in Torquay.

Brixham had the worst straight into the Marina , Paignton got battered. In Torquay all the beach hut got swept away also the beach cafe.

Checked the webcams earlier waves crashing over Brixham breakwater and over the rocks at livermead but Torquay marina looked fine.

40kts here, but at least the tide is mostly out, so the mudbanks provide some shelter.

Don't understand that as thought entrance faced S.W
I agree livermead was taking a pounding earlier but torquay marina looked calm. Obviously you cannot get an accurate view from a web cam

I live in Torquay (well just along the coast).
Actually, I'm in Spain at the moment with fab weather but I spoke to SWMBO on the phone this evening who is at home.
She said that the Torquay coast took a battering today with the wind and rain.
But a few years ago, I asked the Torquay Marina staff and they said that the marina is always safe so you don't need to worry about your boats.
Even in the severest storms.
