Storm warning for Monday

Few extra mooring lines ideally not attatched to the same cleats on the boat or the pontoon.Couple of extra fenders may help. If your worried about the cover take it off.

Have a scan around your neighbours boats,if you see anything of concern tell the marina staff. Most frustrating to have your own boat well secured just for some other lazy sods boat to break free and damage yours.

Hopefully we will miss the worst of it in the Bristol Channel ,not written in stone though.

Get cameras on charge and post pics on here.
Really secure furled sails, tie off wind genny, as said check boats around yours. It would be fun to go out, but i guess people would frown upon it.

Thats good, looks as if the strongest winds are forecast for tommorow(sunday) lunchtime now.

Seems we missed the worst of it in the Bristol Channel area. 100mph gusts at Needles IoW and Dover.

Yes, pretty gusty. The wind speed graph, which is probably based on the 10 minute average stays down around 30mph. Between 1300 and 1600 yesterday the graph was around 35mph. It will be interesting to hear what the people racing in the CBYC Frostbite series thought of it.
