Well I'm keeping the inflatable in the Garage and as I was out there just now having a bit of a tidy up I wondered what is the best way to store it.

a) Fully inflated, lying either on its side or flat
b) Inflated but not fully lying flat
c) Uninflated and stored in the carry case

and the answer is ???

Nah! Its a good question. I've got one folded up on the tumble dryer at the mo. I washed it down when I last used it and put it back in the bag thing. Still needs to be put away for the 'closed season' tho. Anyone got any good tips?

If you want a straight answer to a straight question you should know better than to post it on MoBo. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

FWIW I always thoroughly dry my inflatable out (mainly to make sure that the wooden transom is properly dried). Deflate it and bung it in it's bag. I also make sure that it's well away from mice (the four footed type, not computer) 'cos I know that they get into my shed. They did nibble my old inflatable, but it was shot anyway.

mmm - thanks - I've got mine partly inflated in the garage - Idea being that fully inflated would "test" the seams and rolled up may affect the bits that are creased !!

mice - had nt though of them !!

Re: Giant mice invade Devon!!!

I knew that if I just said "mice" somebody would ask about the computer type but I hadn't reckoned on your devious mind! /forums/images/icons/smile.gif
Of course if I had intended your version I would have said "1.2 metre mice"

keep it where SWMBO won't find it, is it the deluxe blonde or standard brunette model?

"Hopefully that won't be too expensive to fix?"

If you have the chance to store it semi inflated and covered from dust etc that is the best way. Also consider giving it a dusting with talcom(?) powder which keeps the rubber in good nick.
