The best places in North Wales.
For your needs and type of boat
Are
Porth Daniel, Menai Bridge
Ty Calch , Menai Strait
Dinorwic Marina, Menai Strait
Rhyl is ok
Slip at the Yacht Club
But you are restricted by tides etc
Conwy is ok but where der go in a Wiiner Wildcat if its choppy?
Go on the flood and it's ok over the bar when the prevailings are with the tide But on return it may be wind against and quite choppy
Yep, from Conwy through to Rhyl or Prestatyn (sailing club there with storage and launching facilities) it can be restricted as to when you can launch etc
Lived and boated in the area all me life
With a boat like yours
I would seriously consider the south of Anglesey

Theres a place on the Southern end of the Strait's, it was always know as 'Ronnies' but was actually taken over a couple of years ago. They have a storage compound, mainly full of fishing boats 15-20ft, they launch for you by tractor, you dont even get your feet wet. They also do day launch, just turn up and they will pop you in for about £15. Another advantage of this place, you dont need to be registered with the council (You do with all the other slips I know)

Contact is Chris Seddon on 07917 859345, you can also find it on Boatlaunch.co.uk. As Kwaka said, great cruising from there.

You can just see a couple of the boats behind the wall.

thank's ...all
will look @ s. anglsey and such.
the winner is pritty good at sea...but when recovering boat onto trailor it needs to be sheltered or risk getting the sea over the arse end..

anyone up for showing me how to run the straits when i get up their.?

(boat is running a 5.7l v8 merc-tunned to over 320hp) so should push the tide ok.

You could add Traeth Bychan on Anglesey to a potential park and launch. I am going back a bit but there used to be a guy who operated a tractor service there. You will need deep pockets if you go to land and sea at Abersoch.

Kwackers is yer man...

He knows every rock and sand bank intimately now.:D

I believe today was spent dredging the bottom with his anchor:D before thumbing a lift off Phil and Liz.

Kwaka Hope you and Tom get your engines fixed might need a tow myself next weekend:)

Anybody going to the Isle of Man?
