Hi Paul, no just the usual effect I have.
New upholstery throughout by Marine Interiors deserved a little wining and dining for said young lady. Maybe driving all the way up from Swanage (550 miles or so) to fit them was a bit much together with the meal and being tired.
Can't recommend the result of her efforts highly enough. I suddenly have a boat looking like new, and bigger, below. I'm looking forward to trying out the new aft cabin cushions this weekend.
My first real sail in a big boat was out of Troon.. With some "not to be named" sailing school, and a skipper I am happy to name called Hughie.... Extremely well named as it turned out. Took us (3 first time comp crews) out in a force 6.
I have a heavily etched memory of him standing over the cooker at 6.30 in the morning (anchored at Lamlash) with a fag in his mouth cooking greasy eggs and bacon. Just to set my stomach up for day 2..
Beautiful part of the world though. Hope to be up there this year. Welcome
