I have noticed whilst looking for boaty items on eBay that some bidders seem to be a little to eager to try and win items that are listed on ebay and end up paying well over the odds of what the item is actually worth!!!

Take Nasa Target 2's for example I have seen quite a few go for well over £100 through Auction. Chandleries are currently selling Nasa Target 2's at around £85 +Postage.

So people please get smart and do some simple googling if for nothing else to get an idea of the maximum bid to offer before the items stop becoming a bargain.

This will bring prices back down!!!!!

Regards

tidy little business selling on e-bay then ordering from the chandler and having it sent straight to the buyers address.:D
It's an old saying but true, "A fool and his money are soon parted"

the amount of sellers re-hashing Argos / Amazon products for a few extra £1s is astounding, no reason why it wouldn't work for boat bits.

what i get annoyed at is people bidding like crazy when the item still has days to go, the best time to bid is with a bid sniper the last few minutes

I like going in early with a high bid, means you don't know were my limit is and a signal "hands orf" this is mine.

However, at this time of year all the tire kickers are out so prices well over the odds. Wait until the autumn, or a fortnight before Xmas when folk are short of money.

The bouyancy aid I wanted for our son is £36 on ebay.

Local chandler had it for £29.95. Win!

The puzzling question though is if you looked on ebay that £36 buoyancy aid would have sold 00's or 000's ?!? who are these people?

possibly the same who are purchasing these perhaps!
