There are a lot of folks keeping an eye out on the canal system - you never know it might possibly turn up on the Thames...

Following the thread at Canal world yes it was a very good repaint inc a rename.
But the stern was vey distinctive, only six boats like it, so was still spottable.

Just a shame no GPS tracker, something perhaps we should all thing about, the average boat is often many times the price if the cars we drive.

I see the canal forum is talking about sophisticated GPS trackers and SIM cards that never run out.

Perhaps they should consider an AIS transponder, this will quietly transmit as long as it has power.

I know that the overall coverage of the AIS system is poor inland but all it would take is for the boat to pass a coverage point and it would appear on the web tracking AIS services, particularly if picked up by the satellite version.
