I understand that about 80% of all Land Rovers ever built are still running. I'm sure yours can be revived with a bit of attention. However, the good old Defender is a better proposition for launching. The best launch I ever had was at Newhaven, using their Tractor. Took a lot of sweat out of the process.

thanks for your intrest in the flintstone mobile. it could be revived with a grant from the lottery fund of approx £2,500,000. threats from swimbo are very alarming! (ANYTHING that will get rid of that hidious white thing ) is fab by her........nuff sed!!!!!

Well I run a 1996 LR Defender 300TDI and it is great. Easy to fix, cheap parts, absolutely great. Ironically went to buy a 3 yr old RR and bought the Defender instead. LR's with a bit of care and attention will last for ever...

Mind you mine is Aluminium, not steel!

I used to work for Land Rover and still have manuals, parts diagrams etc, if you ever need anything.

hi nicks. its not whats wrong its the cost & the fact its a "j" reg. main bearings rumble, roof rotted across windscreen , both cills front end, steering box, sticks in difflock etc etc & its done 179,000. its just not viable. BUT the offer is more than appreciated. MANY THANKS........i dare say the UNDERLING who does the web site will keep EVERYBODY up to speed on the state of play!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
