sterndrive oil top up

I have a volvo dp-g sterndrive leg and want to know if there is an oil resevoir inside the boat, or does the boat need to be lifted out for me to check the level?

you have to check it from outside
which usually means a lift out
if you do not have an owners book telling you how to do this basic check then you will require to get one for engine + drive
