Anyone out there with a steel boat, looking to meet up with you around the Solent . I sail a Tahitiana 32' out of Langstone, I just love the way the sun sail crowd, give 10 tons sailing at 5 knots, a wide berth.
Hi lovely boat!! Am in Malta, rebuilding a 1959 steel gaff cutter, by Alan Buchanan, she was never insulated and must admit all the steel work I had to do after hydroblasting the interior was to the deck beams and margin plates beneath the deck, so there was a benefit of not insulating. So the question is do i leave her as she is or insulate, what have you done?
