Went to meet a client on his 450 today to arrange some own boat tuition. I was pleasantly suprised at how roomy it is. Good size dining area opposite galley, plus cleverly disguised aft cabin. No standing room over bed obviously due to cockpit, but then I thought who stands up in bed anyway?......................?/forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Ah yes but the roof of the aft cabin has similar footprint to usual cockpit so hence plenty of "al freso" area, plus of course good size flybridge.

Point is two couples previously unknown to each other, staying ont same boat, if they have seperate cabins with own heads at each end of boat makes for more sociable mornings methinks ...........Get it Fred?

Re: Statesman 45(inches headroom)

I'm shrinking then, used to be nearly 6 foot and I had standing headroom.

IMHO, its a great design and the aft cabin works better on the 450/T46 than the smaller 410/F43. The 450 is also a good seaboat (John Bennett hull design)

Odd fact for the night, the 450 hull started as a 36 foot John Bennett hull, got streatched to make a 450, shrunk for a 390, then a 420 and then back to 36 foot for a 360. Funny story here, but remains shrouded in history.
