Starting problems

A quick update, I followed all the instructions given and remade all the connections having cleaned them, and finally the engine is starting, so thank you all. Unfortunately I then dropped the nut for the alternator bolt in the bilge and just cant find it. UNF I believe so thats my next challenge.

One of those magnetic probe things with a light on the end - we have a deep bilge and have dropped all manner of things in it

I was trying to fing it for an hour, there is a lot of lead down there and I believe it must have rolled under the lead. I have a tellescopic magnet, they are great arent they,
