Will do... so maybe a 10A fuse would do the trick if I just use standard domestic flex as you did?

I have no idea what amps your Thermo will take .. but if a 10A fuse blows ... I would be surprised.
The flex is fine ... you only use the item when really cold ... so most of the time if anything like mine is rarely called on.

My engine seems to have a pretty tropical idea of what constitutes ‘really cold’ mind you! OK, many thanks again for all the good advice (and apologies to the OP for hijacking the original thread a bit).
