I have a standard Horizon CP 300 chart plotter. I'm still getting to grips with all the functions but generally I'm really pleased with it. One thing I have yet failed to work out how to make the map move with the boats position. At this moment in time I keep having to adjust the position of the map using the toggle. I would Find it much more useful if the map auto centred itself. If anyone knows how to do adjust the map to autocentering I would be grateful.

Thanks

See page 33 of the manual.3.1.5.

You need to set 'Course up' this will rotate the map as you change coarse or direction to always show the chart and the way the boats heading, there is also 'North up' this will again rotate the map to always show 'North up'

I suggest you put it as I have and leave mine on 'Coarse up' which I find is the easiest to understand at a quick glance!

Yuk .... I hated that when tried on our cp180 .... Far better to have north up then you can see at a glance what direction you're heading ...

Anyway, as has already been said - CLR twice and leave the toggle and the chart will follow your position ...
